The Takeover is a side-scrolling beat-‘em-up in the vein of Streets of Rage and Double Dragon: Neon. It looks stylish as hell, and the Switch is severely lacking within the genre. The system is absolutely perfect for this kind of stuff too! By default, you always have two controllers with you, so I’m pretty damn excited to hear any news of more local multiplayer titles hitting the platform.
No official release date has been revealed, but, according to the game’s Twitter account, we can look forward to kicking some ass on the Switch sometime in the future. If you’re feeling impatient, it’s also currently available on Steam as a part of their Early Access program.
