[Every Friday, Destructoid will pose topical a question to the community. Answer it if you want!]

I’ve made no secret of my distaste for online passes, but there are plenty of others who view them as a valid method of protecting a publisher’s investment. It’s a debate that escalates are more publishers embrace the concept.

Some think companies are entitled to some money from the sale of a secondhand game, while others believe that once a product is sold, the publisher’s claim to any future transaction has expired. So, what side of the fence do you fall on?

Are online passes a nasty little scheme, or a viable way to tackle the used game issue? That is the question.
