As Chris reported this morning, Konami added Castlevania: Circle of the Moon to the Wii U Virtual Console today, priced at $7.99. This is good news, but it gets even better: the remaining two Castlevania titles for Game Boy Advance, Harmony of Dissonance and Aria of Sorrow, have been confirmed for Virtual Console as well. Both will release on Thursday, October 16.

A match made in heaven, really. The GamePad is one of my favorite controllers and GBA games look surprisingly great on its screen. It’ll be nice to have all three titles in one place, too. But I can’t not make an obligatory mention of how this is a missed opportunity for the 3DS.

One of these days, Nintendo. *shakes fist*

If, like me, you sometimes struggle to keep these three games straight — they tend to blend together into an awesome amalgamation — then these videos will jog your memory.
