The Old Republic ‘Galactic Starfighter’ expansion is live

But you’ll need to be a subscriber to play it right now

As promised, the Galactic Starfighter expansion for Star Wars: The Old Republic has gone live for subscribers today adding 12 vs. 12 PvP free-flight dogfighting, complete with the ability to customize ships.

On top of getting early access to Galactic Starfighter, subscribers will also be receiving several exclusive in-game bonuses such as paint jobs and titles. Preferred Status Players, anyone who’s previously been a subscriber or has made an in-game purchase, will be able to access the expansion beginning on January 14, with free-to-play access being granted a month later in February.

Am I the only one who feels as though that, while Galactic Starfighter seems like a jolly good time, this is all a little too late for the MMO?
