The new Attack on Titan game is coming in August in the west

Prepare for slicing and dicing

After much anticipation, Koei Tecmo has finally revealed the release date for Attack on Titan in the west — August 28, 2016 in Europe, and August 30 in the US. It also noted that the final name will in fact be “Attack on Titan” in the US, no fancy subtitle involved, though Europe gets “Wings of Freedom” attached.

Interestingly enough, the game is confirmed for PS4 and Xbox One physically outside of Japan, and digitally on PS3, Vita, and PC. It’s important to note that while the game was released in February in the east, the PC and Xbox One versions are new announcements. This isn’t unprecedented, as Koei Tecmo has used this exact same strategy with Arslan this year.

So yeah — there’s that! Hopefully it won’t just be another full retread of Season 1 of the anime, and we’ll get some new insight.
