The Megas tease second MM3 album with a new single

“Fly on a Dog” off of the upcoming History Repeating: Red

This past June, after a four-year spell, Mega Man cover band The Megas finally unleashed the official follow-up to their debut album. Whereas Get Equipped was based on Mega Man 2, History Repeating: Blue was naturally based on Mega Man 3. But as the subtitle of the new release implied, it was but the first of a two-part project, with History Repeating: Red set to arrive in the near future.

Just in time for Christmas, The Megas are offering a new single from Red: an arrangement of the stage select theme entitled “Fly on a Dog.” But that’s not all! The single comes bundled with a number of B-side tracks that won’t be available on the full album. There is remix of “Fly on a Dog,” a cover of Real Life’s “Send Me an Angel” from the movie The Wizard, an instrumental based on MM2‘s password theme, and my personal favorite, a cover of the GERMAN version of the Mega Man cartoon theme!

You can buy any of the five individual tracks for a buck, or snag the entire single album off Bandcamp for $5. If you want a physical release, stop by the boys’ site and snatch a copy from there. And if you are going to MAGFest next month, be sure to catch their live show!
