The lead of Netflix’s Castlevania show says that there’s going to be a third season

Season 2 hasn’t even aired yet

I ate the Netflix Castlevania show up when it aired back in July of 2017 — and it was pretty easy to do at just four episodes. Thankfully Netflix renewed it for an eight-episode second season, set to air this summer, but lead voice actor Richard Armitage has already confirmed a third.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Armitage (of Hannibal and Hobbit fame) seemingly jumps the gun and says there’s a lot more Castlevania on the way. He explains pretty plainly: “We’re about to record a third. The second season hasn’t been aired yet, but we’re about to do a third”

Now it’s not an official confirmation from Netflix nor is it a sanctioned statement from the studio, but if he’s so sure it’s happening, it’s probably happening. If you haven’t seen it yet, watch it! I just told you it was only four episodes, so if you hate it you won’t waste a lot of time figuring it out.

We’ve reached out to Netflix to verify the state of the show.
