The Last Remnant Remastered trailer compares new PS4 visuals to Xbox 360

Surprise, surprise, it looks better

Square Enix has released a comparison trailer for its upcoming remaster of the 2008 RPG The Last Remnant, which released last-gen on Xbox 360 and is currently back in development for re-release on the PS4.

Of no surprise to anybody, the PS4 version showcases better lighting mechanics, more finely-detailed textures, smoother skin tones and an overall improved visual clarity when compared to the original 360 release. Although, that said, it must be admitted that during one clip (0:46 in the video) the frame-rate in the PS4 release certainly looks more janky.

Still, there’s still a couple of months for Square to apply a little more spit-and-polish, delivering this epic adventure title to a whole new generation of players. The Last Remnant Remastered will launch worldwide on the PlayStation Store December 6.
