The Humble Indie Bundle brings in $1 million, goes open

Prepare to get warm fuzzies, my friends. The Humble Indie Bundle has surpassed its goal of bringing in $1 million in contributions! As of last night, I was seriously doubting the Internet would be able to collectively come together in perfect harmony; I’m absolutely delighted to be wrong.

What does this mean for you? Two things. First, the sale has been extended by a few days. I’ve been yapping about how great this promo is for long enough, so I’ll give it a rest already. And as promised, because the goal was hit, the source code for Aquaria, Gish, Lugaru HD, and Penumbra Overture will go public.

As of writing this, only Lugaru HD has its code out for all to see. The hope is for the other titles to become open source very soon if not sometime this week. Everyone who helped make this a success story ought to hug a stranger or do something equally joyous.
