…and I really wish I were there right now
The Grid is a special denomination of Goodwill that opened up in Charlotte, North Carolina and caters to gamers and collectors. In other words, this ain’t your grandma’s Goodwill. You won’t find vintage T-shirts or tacky overcoats here, though. You’ll find a treasure trove of games from years gone by.
Formerly ComputerWorks, eagle-eyed Reddit user ltra1n discovered the The Grid and its array of videogame goodness inside, ranging from retro systems and cables and cords to computers and even a Raspberry Pi section. In short, it looks like what you always hope the miniscule gaming section at the actual Goodwill looks like when you make time to go.
Unfortunately, it looks like this might be the only location for the Goodwill’s concept store at the moment, so if you’re thinking what I’m thinking, a trip just might be in order. Who’s ready to head over to North Carolina for a weekend?
