The GameStick Android console will ship in September

Soon to be competing against the Ouya, the GameStick console will be launching in September (multiple sources point to the 30th) for $80. The console is basically a tiny HDMI stick that you plug into your TV and BAM — it runs Android games. It touts a really sleek design that even houses the entire unit in the controller, which is pretty damn awesome.

Right now you can snag one for pre-order at GameStop or Amazon, but those of you who backed the Kickstarter at the appropriate level should get yours sometime in the near future. I have no idea what to expect from this, but it seems like a rather humble project and I like the design, so I wish it the best.
