While the gamescom editorial team continues to argue over the choice for game of the show, the Destructoid community has been hard at work voting for its favorite, and the results are unanimous. While every day at gamescom we saw lines over six hours long to play games such as Battlefield 3 and Mass Effect 3, nothing stood a chance against our winner, Guild Wars 2.
It never fails to stun me just how passionate the fans are, and announcing this title as our winner doesn’t surprise me at all. So congratulations to Guild Wars 2, winner of the Destructoid Community Choice Award at gamescom 2011. May your release date be soon and your loot plentiful!
