The Fallout 4 ‘Survival Mode’ update just hit consoles

Patch 1.5

Several folks have informed me that Fallout 4 has just gotten its survival patch this week, and indeed, players can now download 1.5 on PS4 and Xbox One — it clocks in at roughly 2GB. It not only brings in bug fixes, but it also adds in the fabled Survival Mode itself (that should have been in at launch), which eliminates some conveniences like fast travel, and adds a bit more weight to combat.

What’s next for Fallout? Well, the Far Harbor expansion, the first meaty add-on for the game, arrives on May 19 — let’s hope it’s good.
