There’s some great titles on the rise and fall of SEGA and Atari available
The previous videogame-themed collection of eBooks from Story Bundle kept me well read for quite some time, so I’m more than ready to dip into the new 3.0 bundle.
There’s some really eye-catching titles in the bundle, including two books that deal with the rise and fall of Atari and Sega, two of the biggest successes and failures in the videogame business. Also included is How To Do Things With Videogames by noted academic and critic Ian Bogost, a book I’ve been planning to read for a while now.
The basic, pay-what-you-want bundle also comes with Ghost in the Machine, a collection of videogame short stories and a pair of collected writings on games culture, The Gothic Tower, and Scroll. Pay over the average and you’ll get books on EarthBound, Portal 2, and Minecraft (the latter not being available in the UK for some reason). Looks like I’ve got plenty of quality reading ahead in the downtime between actually playing games.
