The Domfather: Carlos Ferro to voice Michael Corleone in Godfather II videogame

If there’s one thing we here at Destructoid are known for, its our ears. So when we recognized a voice in some recent trailers for Electronic Arts Godfather II, we knew we were on to something.

At NY Comic Con, we heard it again at Electronic Arts sprawling booth set dead set in the middle of the convention center. The publisher had brought along playable demos of the game, which we’ve previewed a few times in the past. Then it hit us — the voice we were hearing was voice actor Carlos Ferro, best known for his role as Ensign Dern on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Oh yeah, he’s also voiced the character Dominic Santiago in some game called Gears of War that we hear is popular.

We caught up with Carlos at NY Comic Con this week, who confirmed with a smile and a nod that he indeed is the voice of Michael Corleone in the upcoming Godfather II videogame, set for release later this year.

The pressure of having to fill the shoes of Al Pacino is beyond us, but we have faith that Carlos — a friend and a fan of Destructoid — is up to the task.
