The Division 2 is turning eight this year, and we’ll see lots of new content throughout the course of the year.
Ubisoft has revealed plenty of amazing things for the game on the 10 Year Anniversary livestream. Some of the new content is already live as part of the Anniversary season. The rest of the content will be released when Year 8 Season 1 goes live (and beyond).
The Division 2 2026 Roadmap
Here’s the content that’s already live in the game.
- Realism mode in Warlords of New York, which is completely different from the actual The Division 2 experience. You can also access and complete the Warlords of New York for absolutely free during the Anniversary season.
- Various graphical upgrades are available on PC and console that are available with the base version of the game.
- An anniversary event pass that offers different rewards.
- Tom Clancy collaboration featuring characters from Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, and Rainbow Six Siege universes.
- 10 Year Anniversary cache.
- New gear and weapons.
- Anniversary events will be available throughout the course of the season.
Next, let’s look at all the content arriving later this year.
- Year 8 Season 1 goes live on Apr. 1.
- Expanded crossplay across consoles and PC (with possible chances for cross progression, but no concrete words on that).
- New Incursion mode built on the model of the previous one.
- New Classified assignments.
- New Survivors mode, where you’ll have to brace the enemy and environment.
Ubisoft has also announced a new DLC coming later this year. Located around Central Park, expect to find new missions, items, and gears when the DLC goes live. We are yet to get a date, but it’s safe to expect it somewhere during the second quarter.
In short, there’s never been a better time to start playing The Division 2, as you can also take advantage of the XP modifier that’s currently active.
