The Disgaea 1 remake is coming west on Switch and PS4

‘This fall’

We’ve heard a fair bit about the Disgaea 1 remake recently, known in Japan as “Disgaea Refine.” Like the fact that it’s coming this year in the east on PS4 and Switch, or that it features remastered HD visuals, or that it’s getting a shiny new collector’s edition that’s typical of NIS.

But just this morning NIS America has confirmed that it’s coming west “this fall,” so everyone will be able to get into the action without having to import it. There wasn’t ever really any doubt as Disgaea is their big money maker in the west, but it’s nice to know either way.

PS4 and Switch is a pretty nice tandem combo — NIS typically goes with either Sony or Nintendo when it comes to their strategy RPG line.
