The Destructoid Comic: Goodwill hunting

Recommended Videos

Previously on the Destructoid Comic:

Underground in the Destructoid City subway system, RetroforceGO!, Jim Sterling and the Failcast crew find themselves surrounded by a horde of zombies. Selflessly, the Failcast crew decide to to distract the horde allowing Jim and the RetroforceGO! team to escape.

It’s been a long night, but they finally make it to the Goodwill store to get hold of a Dreamcast needed to power Topher’s ship, the Ikaruga. The only hope the team have of bringing down the Destructor-toid and saving the city.

Meanwhile, it is revealed that the the menace behind the Destructor-toid is Tom Jackson, a vicious megalomaniac intent on proving to the world that videogames are a threat to the world.

This weeks comic was inspired by Technophile. You can check out his idea and the two new comic pages after the break.

Here is my idea. The remaining group finally makes it to their goal. The goodwill. We see the outside of a store called “Destructoid City Goodwill Forum”

Inside looks much bigger then you would think from the outside. Scattered around the store are shelves of games, books and what have you. There are a few people mingling about. Stocking a shelf labeled FNF is Mxyzptlk and behind the counter is yours truly. Mingling around the store can be a bunch of forum regulars like Banj, Morty and what have you. Fill the place with references 😀

“Dyson! So good to see you. I have that Dreamcast you ordered” I say to the group.

“Oh and before you go, take a badge” as I say point toward the box of badges on the counter.

I say inspired because virtually nothing from the comment made it into the end product apart from Forums. This is mostly due me having to cut things to make it work. I also thought it would be nice to give the Forum a bigger part in the story.

THE RULES:
1. You have 24 hours from the time this blog was posted to suggest what happens next.

2. Try to keep it relatively SFW.

3. You can only make a suggestion once per week.

4. Your suggestion has to fit on one page (although I will occasionally stretch it to two pages).

Will the gang finally get hold of a Dreamcast and take down the Destructor-toid? Did the Failcast crew survive? Is CTZ still alive?
