The cover art for Dragon’s Crown is decidedly safe

We’re getting the same box as Japan

George Kamitani’s female character designs for Dragon’s Crown have received a rather surprising amount of attention — that’s … that’s still going on, isn’t it? — but at least for the game’s box art, the presentation is fairly tame, to use Kyle’s word. Yes, if this North American cover looks familiar, that’s because Japan got the same design.

I do quite enjoy the art book’s cover, also shown below. This limited-edition soft-cover book has 64 pages with additional illustrations from notable Japanese artists Akira Yasuda (Akiman), Kinu Nishimura, and Gouda Cheese (BENGUS). Should be pretty good! Worthy of a Dragon’s Crown pre-order, at the very least.
