The concept art for Square Enix’s next JRPG is wild

Oninaki is set to debut this month

Oninaki is kind of flying under the radar. To an extent, all of Tokyo RPG Factory’s work has (I Am Setsuna, Lost Sphear), at least in comparison to a very similar JRPG project from the very same publisher: Octopath Traveler.

That’s fine though, as the developer is still around putting out beautiful work, which includes the concept art for Oninaki, shared by way of the PlayStation Blog. If you have no idea what this spiritual action RPG is all about you can take a look at some of the art pieces, which showcase some of the game’s locales (Great Plain, Szaka, Ehir Palace), as well as individual objects, characters, and enemies.

Having forgone the demo in favor of diving in feet first when the game actually arrives, this project really could go either way. But in any case, this beautifully haunting world will live on forever through this work.
