The 10 best Poki games you can play for free online right now

Below, I’ve listed what I believe are the 10 best Poki games that you can play for free online right now by visiting Poki.com. With so many games on offer, it’s really difficult to know which ones are good. That’s why we’ve put this list together, to help you know that there are at least 10 games worth your time on the site at this moment in time.

10. Fruit Ninja

Fruit Ninja is a classic game that almost everyone will have played on a tablet or smartphone. The game revolves around slicing up fruit as it appears on the chopping board as quickly as possible. Be warned, though, because obstacles will pop up from time to time and end your run if you slice them without thinking. The goal is to beat your high score every time, which can become tricky if you’re a true ninja.

9. Temple Run 2

Another game that every early iPhone adopter will remember. Temple Run 2 is the sequel to the most iconic Infinite Runner out there. You must direct your character over, around, and under obstacles while some ungodly creature is chasing them. Collect coins along the way to earn enough in-game currency to buy new outfits, or just play to see how far you can get. The levels get more challenging the further you progress, so be prepared to concentrate.

There are a few versions of Temple Run 2 to try out if you love the gameplay. These all change the game’s appearance for a few seasons or events, including Halloween, Christmas, and a couple of custom festivals. It’s nice to go between them if you’re playing for a long time, just to keep things interesting without moving away from your favorite gameplay formula.

8. Monster Tracks

Monster Tracks is an intense monster truck game in which you must drive across an incredibly bumpy track without flipping your vehicle. This is increasingly challenging as the track becomes bumpier and more unstable, forcing you to monitor your speed and even balance the car if it gains too much air.

7. Driftwave

I love Driftwave because it’s the perfect mix of a top-down, chilled-out car game with the intense action of a hardcore arcade title. The goal is to guide your car to the finish and get it to drift around the obstacles that stand in your way. All of this is done with mouse swipes, and it feels fantastic to play.

6. Samsara

On the surface, Samsara looks like just another 2D platformer, and not even a good one. However, if you spend a bit of time with it, you’ll uncover unique mechanics that make its screens intriguing puzzles that you’ll be thinking about long after you’ve closed Poki for the day. This one really surprised me, and I thoroughly recommend you give it a go.

5. Longcat

This is another surprisingly good game hidden away in Poki’s library of the best browser games you can play. Longcat is a puzzle game that takes the idea of avoiding eating yourself in Snake and forces you to use that concept to fill an entire shape. It might seem simple, but trust me, this game is a mind-bending nightmare that will consume your thoughts with its most challenging levels.

4. Sides of Gravity

Sides of Gravity is a puzzle game that will take your confusion to the next level. You must control a character across dozens of levels using what I can only describe as the puzzle-game equivalent of tank controls. The control scheme remains the same regardless of your character’s position, but sometimes they’ll be on the side or underneath a shape you’re trying to move around. If you love a challenge, this is the best Poki game for you.

3. Snake Solver

This is the second game in this list that takes the concept of Snake and twists it into a fantastic puzzler. In Snake Solver, you need to control a snake, or snakes, around a level to grab apples and complete them. It’s so much more complex than it seems, though, with buttons and specific movesets to be taken into account. Yet again, if you like the idea of a tough puzzle game, this is one of the best Poki games you could start with.

2. Cat Coffee Shop

Cat Coffee Shop is one of the few games on Poki that could draw your attention away for hours at a time. You’re a cat, and you run a cafe for other cats. You seat customers, serve them coffee, and make a profit so you can seat more customers. It’s an engrossing business simulation game that I personally adore because it combines two of my passions: business and furry felines.

1. O Mandala

O Mandala is the best Poki game for those who like to draw, even if they can’t and want to play something without goals to complete. It’s a drawing simulator in which you make Mandala patterns of varying degrees of complexity. I really cannot draw to save my life, but this game gives me the chance to try out crafting some amazing shapes that I feel strangely proud of. It won’t help you get any better at making Mandala patterns, but it will give you an appreciation for everything that goes into them and help you zone out in a similar way to how a Zen Garden does for a short while.

Yes, the developers behind Poki make many efforts to ensure that the website is safe for all users. That’s why everything is handled in the browser and doesn’t require downloads. According to the website’s Privacy Statement, the youngest a user should be to go on the site is 16 years old. However, there is a Kids Poki website for those under this age, but over the age of 10, to use that has all games with a higher age rating removed.

Yes, every game on Poki is 100% free. The website generates money through ads that appear on the game pages. It’s designed to be a playground for users to come to and enjoy themselves with silly games reminiscent of those hosted on various Flash websites when people my age were still in school and looking for a way to avoid their classwork.
