The beautiful Spice and Wolf series is coming to VR

Simply titled: ‘Spice and Wolf VR’

Someone sold me on watching the Spice and Wolf anime as “Economics: The Anime,” which was more than enough to get me to watch it that very week — I wasn’t disappointed.

While much of the focus is on the antics and travels of Kraft Lawrence, a merchant with a penchant for peddling wares and haggling, the anime bit comes in after he meets a 600 year old wolf god named Holo. Sadly the TV show is only two seasons long and ended in 2009, but it enjoyed a much longer life in manga form — and now, VR.

Studio Spicy Tails just announced that Spice and Wolf VR is coming next year on the Oculus Rift, Vive, and “other” platforms, which pretty much seals the deal for a PSVR rand wastern release. Jun Fukuyama and Ami Koshimizu are returning to voice Kraft and Holo respectively.

As I’ve been sitting tight for the past decade for more news on this series, I’ll be patitently waiting to dive into this world in VR.
