Instant classics up for British award
The British Academy of Film and Television Awards (BAFTA) have listed their nominations for their 2018 Video Game Awards. The ceremony will take place in London next month, at an event hosted by comedian and video game fan Dara O’Brien.
A lot of last year’s fan favourites are up to win the creepy-ass golden mask, with games including Cuphead, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Super Mario Odyssey, What Remains of Edith Finch, Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Life is Strange all nominated in various categories. As the awards is Britain-based, the flag is being flown hard for titles such as Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, The Sexy Brutale and Monument Valley 2.
The full list of nominees can be read below. The BAFTA Video Game Awards 2018 takes place at Troxy London on April 12 and will also be live-streamed for home viewers.
