That wild new NieR: Automata DLC is out next week

Western release date confirmed

Japanese players are getting a batch of DLC for NieR: Automata on May 2, and hey, we are too!

The DLC known as “3C3C1D119440927” (three costumes, three coliseums, one dream, and a year/date, apparently) will also see a Western release on Tuesday, according to Square Enix.

Aside from a few throwback costumes and other cosmetic rewards, the DLC will offer battle coliseums and real-world CEO boss fights (“Immersion schmimmersion!”). Take a look.

In short: hell yes, this is good, and I need it.

I know some of you have torn through Automata already and put it back on the shelf, but for me, this DLC release is reasonably good timing. I’m about to start up my third playthrough now.
