In an effort to bring more people into the current era of consoles, Square Enix offered a special program that would allow players to upgrade their PS3 copy of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn to the PS4. This process would eliminate your old copy and give you a digital license to the new version.
It was scheduled to end on December 31, 2014, but now it’s been extended quite a bit to March 31, 2015. Whether you haven’t gotten around to it by now or you’re picking up a new PS4 for Christmas, this is great news.
