Tap My Katamari is now available for iOS and Android platforms the world over.

While the free-to-play spin-off has been out in some regions since January, other markets, including the United States, haven’t been able to sample the clicker-style experience until now.

Perhaps it just took a while for the game to amass enough small objects to roll across the globe.

Tap My Katamari marks the first new entry in Bandai Namco’s delightfully bizarre franchise since the release of PlayStation Vita launch title Touch My Katamari in 2011 (JP) and 2012 (WW).

The new “idle game” is also the fifth Katamari title to grace mobile platforms, following in the footsteps of Katamari Damacy Mobile, Rolling with Katamari, I Love Katamari, and Katamari Amore.

As for the future of the series, Bandai Namco recently registered a European trademark for the name “Amazing Katamari Damacy,” but has yet to announce anything regarding what that may be.
