TGS 08; Namco Bandai’s presentation: Tekken 6, We Ski and more

Recommended Videos

Namco Bandai just finished up a presentation for the foreign press (that’s us) that gave details on titles coming to the US in the near feature.

As you heard earlier, the highlight of the presentation was the announcement of Tekken 6 for both the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 in the Fall of 2009. For the first time ever, a Tekken title will be playable at home in true 1080p high definition

Also shown was We Ski and Snowboard, a Wii title that takes you to several ski resorts to pull off snow stunts. You’ll be able to use the Wii Balance Board either sideways for snowboarding or forward with the Wii Remote and Nunchuck in your hands for skiing. This title will reach the US in March of 2009.

Some anime/manga licenses were covered. Dragonball Origins (coming December 2008) is a DS game that takes you back to the the beginning, with stylus controlled adventure. Dragon Ball Z Infinite World is a PS2 title that is supposed to be the pinnacle of their DBZ PS2 releases. Finally, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm is coming November 4th, and Namco Bandai said will have a playable stage here tomorrow on the show floor.

Finally, they briefly touched on other games, like the Xbox Live Arcade shooter Power Up Forever (November 2008) or the sickeningly cute National Geographic Panda for the DS. They showed these as I watched on as Japanese press played all the cool games. More on those later.
