Final Fantasy creator’s free-to-play SRPG arrives October 9

Terra Battle launches on iOS and Android devices on October 9, Mistwalker announced today.
The tactical role-playing game is the latest brainchild of Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, who drew inspiration from shogi to devise a combat system based around flanking enemies.
Mistwalker plans to continue adding new content as the install base grows. The studio’s outlines for various milestones include new music from famed composer Nobuo Uematsu, co-op and versus battle modes, and a console game set in the same universe.
