I’m still struggling to believe an episodic Jurassic Park series by Telltale is on the way — it’s far too cool a concept to be real, isn’t it? Details have been few and far between, but thanks to Joystiq, we have some new info to go on. I want to believe!

“We’ve wanted to kind of step out and do something that’s cinematically much more serious than the kind of …. you know, we feel like we’re getting pigeonholed a little bit as a company that makes funny cartoon games about talking animals,” explains design director Dave Grossman.

“And so we want to explore some different territory.” Continuing, he says, “I don’t want to have it be a game about hanging around and solving thinky puzzles at your own pace. It just doesn’t seem like the right thing to do for that.”

Grossman leaves us with one final teaser: “You can definitely expect tension elements, let’s say.” He really knows how to push my buttons. I was already interested in these Jurassic Park games based on the name alone, but now I have a much more legitimate reason. Feels good! Anyone else?
