Team Sonic Racing is this week’s UK Charts number one. Sumo Digital’s kart racer usurped Bethesda’s Rage 2 in physical sales to take the chequered flag, becoming the first game featuring the blue blur to hit the top spot since 2008 Wii release Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games.

Rage 2 and fellow heavy-hitter Mortal Kombat 11 have both slipped a few places, while Sony Bend’s biker adventure Days Gone remains steadfast at number two. With regards to new releases, the Switch edition of Assassin’s Creed III: Remastered debuted at number 15, while Sony’s immersive golf sim Everybody’s Golf VR launched at number 22.

Elsewhere in the charts, Focus Home’s gripping adventure A Plague Tale: Innocence and Rebellion’s headhunting shooter Sniper Elite V3 Remastered both peaked hard, having dropped out of the upper tier to settle at number 31 and 28 respectively.
