Nioh lives on with PlayStation 4

While Koei has been kicking around ideas for a game called Nioh since before the PlayStation 3 days — take a look at this trailer from 2005! — the project is only now coming to fruition. During Tokyo Game Show this week, it was re-revealed as a PS4 exclusive set to arrive next year.

Nioh is a Team Ninja-developed action-RPG about samurai and oni that’s clearly inspired by what From Software has been up to these past several years. The new trailer is quite the reintroduction.

I’m a sucker for red moons, but you can get out of here with that skeleton centipede demon.

Also, I cannot unsee the protagonist as a Geralt doppelganger.
