Team Fortress 2 Scout update landing next week

The next class update for Team Fortress 2 is set to come out on Tuesday, February 24, Valve revealed earlier today. Unfortunately, we’re going to have to wait a few days to find out everything the Scout update entails, but for now we know about the first upgrade, The Sandman.

As was the case for the other TF2 classes, there’s a dedicated page for the Scout. Each day on the site, another part of the update will be unveiled; today, we’re getting a look at The Sandman, a collectible bat that can launch baseballs at its foes.

Getting hit by one of the Scout’s baseballs will stun you, even if you’re invulnerable. The longer the distance the ball travels to crush your noggin, the longer you remain unable to move. The downside? The bat prevents Scouts from double jumping.

So far, so good, I’d say. I’m anxious to see what else the update will include.
