Tara Long and I became gods for one shining moment

And then a tsunami came and killed our villagers. A whole seven days of work down the drain. Back to the drawing board, I suppose. Such is the nature of From Dust.

Here’s a video of Tara and I, talking about our impressions of this new god game which feels a lot like some old ones in as far as my skills in all of these are awful. Seriously, I could not manage to wrap my head around water displacement and just kept fumbling around like a blind idiot for ten minutes while the designer smugly looked at me.

I hear he offered Tara actual, concrete advice. I’m not saying there was some sort of gender inequality at play which might have led to him allowing me to look stupid while she received instruction. But, damn it, I’m pretty too!
