Tantalus working on unannounced AAA Wii U port

Recommended Videos

Tantalus Media makes mostly portable and licensed titles these days (try Cars 2: Mater-national Championship for the Game Boy Advance), but their 40+ game history had them working on bigger stuff in the past for consoles, like Wipeout 2097 for the Saturn, or Area 51 on the PlayStation. And now it seems that they’re working on something bigger yet again, this time for the Wii U.

The LinkedIn account of programmer Graeme Webb revealed that Tantalus has been working on a port of an unannounced “AAA” Wii U title. Webb was the engine programmer on this title at their Melbourne office this past two months.

As Notenoughshaders points out, this title began development this June. This information goes right along with the recruiting page for the studio, as it teases “an exciting Next-Gen AAA title.” They’re hiring for help on this game right now.

Let’s hope that this is something bigger than a port of a licensed game.
