Roblox Tank Game Tier List – Best Tanks [NOV20]

Now that the developers mostly removed the P2W features, I can more comfortably give you the best Tanks in Tank Game. You can’t go wrong by building the frontal focused shooting tanks since the omni-directional shooting tanks end up with weaker PVP DPS. Let’s rank and explained them all in this Roblox Tank Game tier list.

Tank Game Tank Tier List

For this Tank Game tier list I’m assuming you’re maxing out Damage & Fire Rate (Pen & Laser Range for Rail) caps for ranged tanks and Health, Body Damage & Speed for melee tanks. In general, the best tanks in Tank Game are frontal barrel tanks so that you can control your DPS the most. Tanks that shot sideways and backwards, even though they can be good for farming, are difficult to pull PVP value from since you cannot reliably aim shots. Let’s dive into individual highlights and explanations.

Build Paths: There is now an Index in the game that you can check for build paths for all tanks so I removed my build path section.

Quick Tier Explanation: Before we dive into individual tank explanations below, note that the Meta tier is what you should be building for currently. S-Tier are the most powerful tank components for the Meta Tier. A-Tier are usually great DPS alternatives if you don’t wanna go for the Meta tier. B and C-Tier are either omni-shot tanks that are generally bad for PVP or underpowered tanks.

S-Tier Tanks

Meta Tanks	Special Notes
Orbitron SR	• The best general tank DPS that has a simple way to reach it although it requires a lot of grinding • Some of the highest frontal focused damage you can get in the game with a balance of damage, range, attack speed and AOE • Also, Orbitron JR is a good tank to rush
Double Railgun	• There are multiple ways to get to Double Railgun but once you do you’ll have the longest range single-target burst damage in the game • It’s really hard to play and aim on mobile so this tank is much better on PC • Even though you get blocked by walls, don’t chase into close quarters and just make use of your long range when they aggro you
Turbine	• The best melee tank in the game and one of the best tanks in the game overall • High damage and high tanking, you just have to learn to maneuver and approach players
Mega Freezer & Flame	• One of the best tanks to fight multiple tanks in PVP • Incredibly high DPS though at close range • You’ll also destroy most bullets before they reach you • Both are about equal but Flame is via joining the Group and the Freezer you have to buy for diamonds • I prefer the Freezer for the slows
Titan	• The P2W tank with crazy high damage and attack speed • Not much to say here, if you buy it you’ll probably dominate the lobby but there are more fun options out there for free
Orchestra	• A better DPS version of the Godfather for longer range sutainable DPS

A-Tier Tanks

Meta Tanks	Special Notes
Godfather	• A bullet-hell tank comparable to Orbitron Senior with the only difference being if you prefer the side and back upgrades
Plower	• Lots of defense and melee potential while keeping your back safe • Great hybrid playstyle
Hi-Gunner	• A decent earlier alternative to Orchestra and Godfather
Railgun	• The best single-target long-range tank in the game for its level • I recommend playing it on PC since it’s much easier to aim and it does require precise aiming • Even though you get blocked by walls, don’t chase into close quarters and just make use of your long range when they aggro you
Ultrathunder	• An excellent tank to rush early because it opens up a lot of the late game options above
Pre-Final Orbitrons	• The tanks to rush if you want to go for Orbitron SR which is one of the best tanks in the game • You can build SR from both Orbitron and Side Orbitron
Siren	• Even with the nerf in the recent upgrade Siren is still an amazing DPS tank with a simple build path

B-Tier Tanks

Meta Tanks	Build Path	Special Notes
Beastmode	Basic – Spammer – Blaster – Beastmode (Level 60+)	• Beastmode also got nerfed but it’s still a really good DPS tank and it allows you to go to Siren
Orbitron JR	Shows up at Level 60 and there are many build paths like Machine Gun – Sprayer – Orbitron JR or Twin – Triple – Spread – Orbitron JR or Sniper – Any Tank – Predator – Orbitron JR, etc.	• The tank you want to rush if you want to go for Orbitron SR which is one of the best tanks in the game
Intruder	Appears at Level 90+ Basic – Scout – Hitman – Shadow – Intruder	• Actually an amazing defensive and offensive tank due to the stealth invisibility mode since you can both escape getting wiped or sneak up on someone • Plus, it allows you to go into Railgun and Double Railgun if you want more long-range single-target damage
Mega Shredder	Fuse/Sharp/Rocket/Guardian | Plower/Smashinator (Level 60+) | Mega Shredder (Level 60+)	• Overall Turbine is better in everyway but this isn’t a bad melee build if you like going in close range without firing projectiles yourself
Tundra	Thunderspike/Storm/Double Spiker/Fury | Powerhouse (Level 60+) | Tundra (Level 130+)	• A simple and effective mix of offense and defense that’s a decent alternative to the Meta tanks

C-Tier & D-Tier Tanks Explained

In B and C Tier are usually the omnidirectional shooting tanks which basically mean you lose out on DPS in direct 1v1 or 1v2 combats. All that DPS from side or back barrels is usually wasted where it would be much more useful in the front where you can control who you’re shooting better. Sure, some are useful since you can stand in the middle of the map and farm but overall for direct PVP they are inferior. B-Tier has the best omnidirectional tanks while C-Tier has the weakest ones as well as some underpowered tanks in general (Like Phoenix that desperately needs a buff and cannot compare to other Level 130+ tanks).
