Have you played Tales of Symphonia? If you haven’t, know it’s a face-punchingly fantastic game, with amazing music to match. If you missed it, or even if you played it and loved it, you’ll be glad to know that at today’s Tales of Festival in Japan, series producer Hideo Baga announced that both Tales of Symphonia and its sequel, Dawn of the New World, are coming to the PS3 as a HD combo release.

The game comes to Japan this Fall, but us here in the West can relax. Calm down. Breathe. Baba announced that it would also be coming to North America and Europe in 2014. He says “early 2014.” Yes! You’ll get the full details in Baba’s message, shown above.

Also be sure to check out the Japanese trailer, below. I got goosebumps at the reveal because I’m a huge freakin’ nerd.

Japanator reports that the PS2 version of the game will be used as the base, and that they’ll be adding new artwork and new versions of the opening themes, among other things.

Thank you, Namco Bandai!
