Tak Fujii is back with Gal Metal, a drumming game for Nintendo Switch

‘All you need is love of metal’

Former Konami producer Tak Fujii (Ninety-Nine Nights II, Frogger 3D, Blades of Time) is just the best. We can’t get enough of the guy and his unabashed excitement and silliness. If you’ve been wondering what he’s been up to lately like I have, look no further: he’s working on a motion-centric drumming rhythm title for Nintendo Switch at DMM Games that calls to mind another infamous E3 moment.

You’re a drummer for a metal band, there are aliens, and yep, it’s on you to stop them.

Tak Fujii was in attendance at the Tokyo Game Show and oh how I’ve missed him.

Gal Metal is planned for release in Japan this February. I haven’t seen any indication of a localization, but I feel like the Switch has had a fairly steady stream of games like this make it over.
