Applin and its evolutions are finally arriving as part of Pokémon Go’s Sweet Discoveries event, giving trainers a few short days to find everything they can and, more importantly, collect as many of Apllin’s evolution items as possible.
While it won’t be available as a Shiny from day one, or have its Dipplin and Hydrapple forms from the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC, there are still enough reasons to be excited about this event and the many research tasks and offerings that it has.
If you want to see if it’s worth doing the research tasks this time around, though, have no fear, as we have completed them all already to show you what you get and what you need to do.

How to complete the Sweet Discoveries Timed Research in Pokémon Go
There are two research paths available this time, with both giving Apple-themed encounters. While the free tasks are a great way to get a Tart and Sweet Apple, you’ll need quite a few to evolve an Applin, so be sure to go on the lookout for more items as you adventure around the world.

Honestly, the events Premium research tasks and rewards aren’t worth it this time around as you can easily find Applin’s in the wild and they don’t provide the more harder to find evolution items, so we would give this one a miss unless you want to try and get an Applin with better stats through the completion rewards.
