Survive Bikini Bottom Class Tier List – Class Guide

Doubloons are hard to get so here's what classes you should buy.

A lot of the classes in Survive Bikini Bottom have similar abilities like in 99 Nights in the Forest. For example Pioneer is Ranger and Bruiser is Brawler. This makes it really easy to rank them since the game loop is almost the same. Here’s my Survive Bikini Bottom class tier list to help you spend doubloons.

The criteria for the best class in Survive Bikini Bottom is based on both rushing to save all residents but also trying to survive until day 250, 500, 1000 and beyond (aka Infinite mode). The S-Tier are the best at Infinite and speed-running. A-Tiers are great alternatives with less late-game benefits. B-Tier are situational. Lastly, C-Tier are only good early and are otherwise underpowered while D-Tier is the never-use category. Let’s dive into each class individually below.

S-Tier Classes

S-Tier ClassesRanking ReasonAbilities

GG Rockstar
The best class in the game
You start with the most powerful weapon for night 100+ raids where kiting enemies with ranged weapons is much better than melee
(This is because the chum bucket brutes deal so much damage)
You also get really good armor to help with that
Rush for the energy restore upgrade for reliable damage, otherwise the guitar is weak late-game due to fast energy loss
Currently hard to unlock F2P since the Badges don’t give enough Doubloons so you must farm more from chests
Starts with GG Rockstart Armor and Goober Guitar (Requires Energy, not ammo)

Perk 1: Excellent visibility at night
Perk 2: Goober Guitar does more damage
Perk 3: Defeating enemies restores Guitar energy

Doodle Bandit
Amazing for speed runs and good for infinite wave farming if you know how to dodge in melee
You get good armor and high melee DPS that deals well with crowds due to the poison damage-over-time spread
Overall weaker than GG since you’re encouraged to melee but one of the best classes in the game
Starts with Doodle Armor and Doodle Pencil

Perk 1: Poison from your weapon is stronger
Perk 2: +25% chance to spread poison on kill
Perk 3: Attacks deal extra damage to poisoned targets

Bruiser
Bruiser is weaker than all S-Tier classes but the reason I put him here is that he’s excellent for speed running
You can save pretty much all residents fast with that high melee damage+defense if you rush a good melee weapon via mailman or chests
In the final SpongeBob resident labyrinth you’ll constantly be taking damage so that HP regen helps a lot
Not good for infinite since melee eventually becomes weak since the enemies deal so much damage and you want to be barricaded
(Stock up on bandages)
Starts with Bubble Wrap Armor

Perk 1: You cannot use ranged weapons but you have +40% HP and +30% melee damage
Perk 2: You get 10% HP regeneration over time
Perk 3: 5% chance to block any damage

A-Tier Classes

A-Tier ClassesRanking ReasonAbilities

Pioneer
The strongest class in the early to mid-game with Ketchup Blaster that can instantly save 2 or 3 residents with good ammo use
Depending on how lucky you get with the 10% ignore ammo loss you can end up being good for longer
It’s still A-Tier because you don’t get strong permanent buffs like Bruiser
Once you run out of ammo it’s hard to find more ammo
Starts with Flashlight, Ketchup Blaster and 18x Ketchup Ammo

Perk 1: Start with 18 Ketchup Ammo
Perk 2: 10% chance to save ammo on use
Perk 3: Start with 30 Ketchup Ammo

Mercenary
High melee damage right from the start that allows you to speed run the game, especially with that starting Scrap
Similar to Pioneer but you have to learn melee mechanics so you don’t get hit much (For example, waiting for jelly lightning then going in for the kill)
The Broken Motorcycle is nice because you can also trade it to the mailman later
Unlike Bruiser, you don’t get perma melee/health buffs so Bruiser out scales you once it gets a better weapon
No defensive buffs so you’ll have to switch to ranged later since Waves after 100 get really hard for melee users
Not worth the Robux
Starts with Mercenary Cutlass

Perk 1: Spawn with a Broken Motorcycle nearby to scrap
Perk 2: Start with 2 Sea Mines
Perk 3: Deal higher damage as your Health gets lower

Doctor
Good for both supporting a speed running team and also an infinite run where you try to go for 250 to 1000+ nights
The main benefit is the 5x faster revives that can get your team back up in raids really fast and with more HP
Becomes bad if your team plays good and doesn’t die
Starts with 2x Bandages

Perk 1: Revive 5x faster
Perk 2: Revive players with more Health and less Hunger
Perk 3: Replace one of your Bandages with a Medkit

B-Tier Classes

B-Tier ClassesRanking ReasonAbilities

Cursed Soul
Can be really good if you high roll so it’s a very situational class
Basically allows you to get a higher tier weapon or armor from early chests so that you can speedrun
Also good for farming Doubloons for unlocking other classes
That said if you low roll it’s really weak
Plus, it gets weaker as the game goes on so it’s not good for survival runs where you try to survive for as long as possible
Starts with Random Item

Perk 1: 50% chance to get a lower-tier item from a chest and 50% chance to get a higher-tier one
Perk 2: The odds raise to 60% for a better item
Perk 3: Increased chance for Doubloons to spawn in chests

Trapper
Really good early for rushing high-level jelly hives for walls and later the speed boost station Quickster Pad
Plus has a support buff to increase food drops to keep your team fed early to mid-game
Becomes gradually worse the longer the game goes on
Starts with Jellyfish Trap

Perk 1: Increased enemy food drop rate
Perk 2: Start with +1 Jellyfish Trap
Perk 3: Increased enemy food drop rate

C-Tier Classes

C-Tier ClassesRanking ReasonAbilities

Jellyfisher
You get more Jelly drops for rushing hive level-ups and crafting upgrades
Speeds up early farming with the Good Net allowing others to grab mailman upgrades
It’s not that much extra Jelly to be honest and the defensive buff is useless since you can just dodge jellyfish lightning bolts
Starts with Good Net

Perk 1: 20% chance to get +1 bonus Jelly from Jellyfish
Perk 2: 10% chance to block damage from Jellyfish
Perk 3: 20% chance to get +1 or +2 bonus Jelly from Jellyfish

Defender
Speeds up walling off your base with Bamboo Walls and Shelves so you get some extra scrap and Jelly basically
Start becoming weak around mid-game and gets abysmally weak later
Starts with x2 Bamboo Wall

Perk 1: Start with 2 Bamboo Walls
Perk 2: Start with 1 Sea Mine
Perk 3: Start with 2 Sea Mine

Drifter
Good for rushing chests early if you can bait out enemies out of the buildings and then go in and open the chest
The extra space is nice because jellyfish usually drop 3 Jelly allowing you to farm 2 jellyfish and then bring back all 6 Jelly instead of going 1 by 1 or leaving some behind
This time saving is why it’s C and not D
Otherwise really weak
Perk 1: +2 backpack slots
Perk 2: Open chests 25% faster
Perk 3: Chance to get Scrap as a bonus drop from chests

D-Tier Classes

D-Tier ClassesRanking ReasonAbilities

Camp Scout
Flashlights are common and visibility isn’t that big of a problem
The weakest class in the game
The Hunger drain slow is okay but you’ll be bathing in food later so it’s not big deal
Starts with Flashlight

Perk 1: 10% reduced Hunger drain
Perk 2: Increased visibility at night
Perk 3: Start with Blue Jelly Patty
