Psyonix’s upcoming PlayStation Network title Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars takes the prize for the longest, most obnoxious name in videogames. It’s so long that I can barely remember it, and I’ve had to glance at the press release at least four times to write that first sentence.

We could call it SARPBC, but that sounds a bit like an STD, and we know that’s a sore subject with some of you guys. Get it — “sore”? Hey, it’s early. So here’s how I’ll refer to it from now on: “that arena-based online vehicle sports game for PSN.” Wait, that’s kind of long, too …

In any case, the game was announced last week, and now we have a trailer. So what we have is a soccer (or football, for you Europeans) game with cars and things exploding. What more can you ask for, really? I suppose the answer to that question would be “more varied environments”; the trailer only shows one arena.

Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars will be available on PSN this fall.
