Super Meat Boy headed to XBLA… before WiiWare

Super Meat Boy, previously announced for both PC and WiiWare, has now been confirmed for Xbox LIVE Arcade.

Here’s the news that might get some Wii owner’s panties in a bunch — it’s coming to Xbox LIVE Arcade before it comes to WiiWare (or PC, for that matter). The game’s controls will remain mostly the same — Super Meat Boy features no motion-specific gameplay movements. The XBLA version of the title will also feature online play, which the WiiWare version lacks.

There’s also a Mac version of the game in the works, and despite having Super Meat Boy up and running on a PlayStation 3 test kit, there are no current plans to bring it the PlayStation Network.
