Super Mario Maker has sold one million units worldwide

Sold, not shipped

Super Mario Maker has sold one million copies worldwide, Nintendo has announced. This is based on Nintendo’s internal sales figures, which include physical, bundle, and digital units. Additionally, 2.2 million courses have been created, which have been played almost 75 million times.

It definitely makes sense, as 8-bit Mario will sell anything, and the game has been heavily advertised all over — heck, I saw it on every single train ride when I visited Japan last week for TGS.

I really hope that means there’s more (free) DLC in the pipeline. C’mon slopes!
