Sup Holmes weighs in with Scale’s Steve Swink

Get to know the people that make great videogames

Recommended Videos

This week on Sup Holmes we chat with Steve Swink, the creator of the “everyone-who’s-played-it-loves-it-but-most-people-haven’t-heard-of-it-yet game” Scale. Steve’s been thinking hard about game design for a while. He was even going to make The Unfinished Swan at one point, until the people who were actually making The Unfinished Swan announced that they were making it instead. Steve is also one of the few developers today to make a game about game design. The often unnoticed design structures that support our favorite games are often at the forefront of Steve’s work. It’s going to be fun to talk to him about that.

So that’s what we’ll be talking to Steve about, among any other topics that may come up (his influences, Katamari, prospects of new consoles, Bioshock Infinite, games that look interesting but aren’t, games that don’t look interesting but are), and whatever he has on his mind. Join us at 1pm PST/4pm EST for the conversation.
