Sumo Digital has announced that it has entered into a partnership with publisher 2K for at least two upcoming projects. The British developer will begin work on the first game at its Sheffield studio, in collaboration with Red Kite Games which the studio acquired back in February of this year.

Speaking succinctly on the new deal, Sumo’s Managing Director Gary Dunn said of the partnership: “We’re delighted to be working with 2K and look forward to disclosing details of the projects in due course.”

Sumo Digital recently found itself hitting the number one slot of the UK charts with Team Sonic Racing and have also worked with Hitman, Crackdown and the Forza series. Hopefully we’ll be hearing more about these mystery projects very soon.
