Studio Ghibli/ Level 5’s The Another World ported to PS3

Aww, this is a little bit of weird news, but cool for fans of very pretty Japanese videogames. As some of you might know, famed Japanese animation house Studio Ghibli, the creators of such illuminous films as Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away had been working on the animation for a Level 5’s upcoming Ni no kuni: The Another World for the DS. While this in itself is exciting, what is more interesting is what Famitsu announced today.

Via Adriasang, Ni no Kuni: The Another World will be coming to the PS3 with Move support, and should better represent the insanely good animation that Studio Ghibli is known for. While the DS version of the game is apparently still coming this fall to Japan (and looks like a DS title when viewed in-game), the PS3 version does not have a release date, although images shown were impressive in replicating the artistic design of Studio Ghibli. Level 5 will be having a press conference later this week, so hopefully we can gain some better insight of this title, as well as the development status of the PS3 version. Maybe even a US release date!
