Street Fighter V will have legacy controller support after all

No need for a new stick yet

This is one case where I don’t mind seeing a developer go back on something they’ve said. Spanish website MeriStation broke the news that Street Fighter V is going to come with a day-one patch to add in support to make PS3-era fightsticks work on the PS4, and internally, our own Chris Carter backed it up (look for his review next week). Normally I’d get my back up about a 5.9GB day-one patch, but when it saves $150 or more on a new fightstick, I think I can handle it.

This is fantastic news for anyone excited about SFV but not so excited about replacing their peripherals. Fighting games are already a hard enough genre to get into without pricing out potential players.
