Strap in, it’s time to watch EA Play Live 2020

The real EA Play is the friends we made along the way

No E3, no problem. The streams won’t stop. Electronic Arts is about to kick off its EA Play Live 2020 presentation at 4:00 p.m. PT. If you wanna watch along with the Dtoid community, hey, stick around.

We’re expecting appearances from Star Wars: Squadrons (gameplay this time), Apex Legends, Madden, other miscellaneous sports, another co-op romp from A Way Out creator Hazelight, and possibly other EA Originals. Will we hear a peep out of BioWare? I’m rooting for you, hopeful Dragon Age fans.

I suspect we’ll have a few cool games to latch onto, but my expectations are muted after last year’s extremely low-key EA Play stream. Any improvement over that format and runtime will be super appreciated, especially given the industry’s multi-month not-E3 schedule. I hope it’s a condensed show.

Worst case, it’s fun to hang out again. I’m here, you’re here – we’re in this one together.
