Strafe is going to make 2017 feel like 1996 all over again

Devolver Digital is on board

Steven Hansen… Steven Hansen. Where do I know that name from?

Eh, maybe it’ll come to me later.

Developer Pixel Titans has teamed up with Devolver Digital for its mid-’90s-feeling first-person shooter, Strafe, and that makes a whole lot of sense. The two seem like they’d be best buds.

There’s a new trailer, too. What’s shown here looks noticeably better than what I played of the pre-alpha demo, which I enjoyed, and we’re still quite a ways off from Strafe‘s release. It won’t be ready for Windows (with Oculus Rift support), Mac, and Linux until early next year.

And if you haven’t come across it yet, the game’s website, strafe1996.com, is good for a laugh. But only if you’re over 18! Just be sure to double check that all of your plugins are up to date.
