StoryBundle has a collection of game-related eBooks

$10 for 10 DRM-free eBooks

I’ve long been meaning to check out Confessions of the Game Doctor, and now that it’s available digitally in StoryBundle’s The Video Game Bundle, what am I waiting for? This package, curated by Simon Carless of Gamasutra, the Independent Games Festival, and elsewhere offers pay-what-you-want pricing starting at $3 for seven eBooks.

The core set includes Bill Kunkel’s aforementioned book as well as The Making of Karateka, Constellation Games, Killing is Harmless, Generation Xbox: How Videogames Invaded Hollywood, Kill Screen Issue 2: Back to School, and Kill Screen Issue 6: Change Issue. Paying a minimum of $10 for the set will also get you copies of Ralph Baer’s Videogames: In the Beginning plus The Making of Prince of Persia and 250 Indie Games You Must Play.

There was a time when I tried to keep games from seeping into my primarily non-fiction reading, but such plans have failed miserably. Oh well. Have you read any of these already? Recommendations?
