Stop what you’re doing: Tiny Wings has been updated

Oh my god it’s opening its mouth!! The surprise hit Tiny Wings, which was the first game to kick Angry Birds off the #1 spot on Apple’s app store in 200 days or so, has received an update.

A new nest will let you gain a 30x multiplier, but the objectives are sure to take you an hour at the least. Reach island 9, fly through the 4th island in fever mode, and do 20 cloud hits while not being in fever mode. Pfew.

In addition, some bugs have been fixed, the game now has Game Center support, and the quite useless “Score” menu option has been replayed by a “Stats” option. You’ll also notice a timer that counts your Fever time, and the pause stats have received a minor overhaul. Furthermore, the game’s OpenFeint leaderboards are now expanded beyond just the high score. Creator Andreas Illiger also hinted at a future update with a new game mode on Twitter.

If you own an iPhone or iPod Touch, and for some reason don’t own this $0.99 game that gives you hours of value, go fix that. Like, right now! Now excuse me as I spend another 12 hours trying to stay ahead of Nick Chester’s pathetic 196k score. And if anyone can tell me how to reach 5 million, please do.
